A great find in the world of Montessori
OK – I’ve found my favorite sorting, scooping, tweezing, tonging, chopsticking, pouring, transferring medium – PUFFS. They’re at Michael’s and Hobby Lobby in the craft section in a million different colors. They’re completely quiet, easy to spot on the floor when spilled, and so cheap! Sweet Pea commented that transferring small puffs with red chopsticks is not as easy as she thought it would be! It was actually pretty challenging in fact. I got a larger size for the Peanut to use. He loved it!! He likes to call them “quishies” – translated – squishies.
Here’s what we’ve been doing with the Larger “puffs”!! http://happyheartsmom.typepad.com/sweetness_and_light/2007/03/mat_training_10.html>>I hope you’ll chceck out the toddler Carnival if you haven’t already seen it!! It’s here:http://happyheartsmom.typepad.com/sweetness_and_light/2007/04/its_my_birthday.html There were tons of great ideas!! Blessings!
Great pictures! We like the puffs here too, you have inspired me to get them out again. Its great to see others doing montessori at home!
